Cr Ray Wallace has put his hand up for the mayoralty under the banner "Team Ray Wallace". So far there's no sign of a team and polling day is only 6 weeks away! Does anyone know anything about Ray's team? The campaign is developing rapidly into a phony war where teams are all about us, but none have yet been seen. Maybe Ray should link up with Rose Thomas as then they would each have a team.
As far as Ray's suitability for the top job goes, he does have an unerring ability to extract a clap from any audience. We just hope that his various audiences are never introduced to each other as they might get a rude shock.
It's easy to drum up community support by holding closed shop kumbayyah sessions where everyone is one big happy family and the council has an open cheque book.

I understand Cr Wallace engaged in quite appalling rabble rousing during the exide battery debate which created history by causing the first ever Council Committee meeting to be adjourned, and security guards called in the protect the Committee members.
Is this correct, and if so, what type of leadership qualities does this show?
